Okuden – Reiki II – Plus Animal Reiki
I teach Reiki in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition. This is a traditional or Japanese tradition of Reiki that places focus on Reiki for spiritual development.
You learn hands-on healing as well, but I emphasize the importance for a personal spiritual practice. The more you grow spiritually, the more powerful your Reiki healing becomes.
Usui Reiki Ryoho supports you in
remembering the truth of who you are
You really do not fully experience the power of Reiki until you take the second level workshop. I encourage everyone who has taken Level I Reiki to continue to Level II when they feel ready.
Why take Okuden? Please read on.
There are many reasons to continue your Reiki training with the second level workshop. One of them is to prepare yourself to work professionally with Reiki, but my experience is that most of my students take Okuden or Reiki II for their own spiritual growth.
Reiki is taught in 3 levels. Shoden or level 1 introduces you to Reiki. This is where you learn to feel the energy and get your first experience using Reiki to heal yourself and others.
Does this mean Reiki is only for sick people? Absolutely not. Healing is not the same thing as curing. The word “heal” has the same root as “whole”. Healing is about becoming whole. About balancing your energy at the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level so you experience wholeness in all of your life. Healing is for everyone.
Okuden will take you deeper into understanding Reiki and how to benefit from it. You will learn 3 powerful mantras and their associated symbols which you can use to increase the power of your Reiki.
You will gain a deeper understanding of Earth Ki and Heaven Ki. In Shoden you learned about the Three Diamonds, Earth Ki, Heaven Ki and Heart Ki. CKR, the first mantra and its symbol assist you in working with Earth Ki. You can chant the mantra and meditate on the symbol to increase your Earth Ki. SHK, the second mantra and its symbol assist you in working with Heaven Ki. You can chant this mantra and meditate on its symbol to increase Heaven Ki.
You will learn to do Distant Healing. The third mantra HSZSN and its associated symbol are used for connection – connection to the Oneness, All that is. They facilitate distant or remote healing. You learn how to offer Reiki to people and animal who are not physically present. You also learn to send Reiki to the past and the future which can be extremely powerful.
You will experience another transformational weekend in the Reiki Energy and with others who share your love of Reiki. The power of experiencing Reiki in a group setting just cannot be explained.
Okuden is a one-day workshop with a combination of discussion, meditation, and attunements. Classes are small – a maximum of 4 students – so there is plenty of time for questions and individual attention.
You will learn the first three mantras and their symbols, meditation techniques using them and ways to use them to enhance not only your own Reiki practice but your ability to offer Reiki to others.
You will learn how to use the third mantra and symbol and how to connect with others so you can offer Reiki to people and animals not physically present. You will also learn to send Reiki to yourself in the future, such as when you will be in an important meeting. You can send the Reiki ahead so you walk into it when you enter the room. You can also heal events of the past by sending Reiki back to yourself and others at that past time.
Time and space are just an illusion. Reiki works outside of the limitations of time and space making it just as easy to offer Reiki to other times and places as to those in the same room.
You will have an opportunity to practice distant or non-local Reiki. On Sunday you will offer distant healing, to an individual who can provide feedback and you will participate in a healing circle for animals. Please bring pictures of one or more of your animals so we can offer healing to them in the healing circle.
I do encourage you to take Okuden now if possible.
Maybe you feel you have not worked with Reiki enough? Perhaps you are not able to practice Reiki every day? That’s OK – you can take Okuden now and have more ways to work with the Reiki to expand your Reiki experience.
Recommended Reading
Prior to joining a Reiki Level II course we recommend that you read the Your Reiki Treatment. This is an in-depth book about Reiki treatments that will help you with your own self-treatments as well as any treatments you may undertake on others. It is jam-packed with every little detail and fact about Reiki you could (or couldn’t) think of.
Make sure that your theoretical knowledge of Reiki grows at the same rate as your experiential knowledge. This is the best way we know how to support you with that!
If you have not already read the Reiki Level I recommended reading, The Japanese Art of Reiki, please do so before taking Okuden
